Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, cosponsored a Senate resolution that proclaims 2022 as the bicentennial year for the celebration of the birth of President Ulysses S. Grant, a southwest Ohio native born in Point Pleasant on April 27, 1822 and raised in Georgetown. The resolution also designates the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library’s Ulysses S. Grant Association as the official institution for organizing this bicentennial celebration
